Join Cathy Merkley for a live webinar and demonstration on alpaca fibre skirting and sorting – just in time for shearing season!
Cathy is an instructor for the Alpaca Ontario Fleece Classer Certification programme administered in conjunction with Halliburton College. Join this Webinar just in time for shearing season and prepare for the day(s) so that you can shave off hours of sorting and classing later and produce exceptional end products!
Cathy Merkley has owned alpacas since 1996 with her business partner, Trudy McCall. T’n’C Farms has been a very successful breeding farm producing champion showstock with sales in Canada and internationally. The farm is located near Lloydminster, SK. Cathy is a certified halter and fleece judge with AOA and has judged across Canda, in the United States and Germany.
Cathy received her fleece classer certification in 2004 at Olds College with Cameron Holt from Australia instructing. She worked as a classer for the co-op and now classes fleece for her wholesale company, Alpaca Naturally, Inc., co-owned with Cathy Newby. In addition to sorting and classing, she is a knitter, spinner, felter, dyer, weaver and wearer of alpaca.
