The success of the alpaca fibre industry relies on quality fibre preparation at the time of shearing. Fibre preparation is as essential to adding value to your product as is excellent shearing protocols. You, as a participant, will be introduced to the basic principles of proper skirting and sorting techniques, as well as a basic understanding of grading and mill/processing essentials.This information along with hands-on practice will help you, as alpaca farmers, value-add to your raw fibre for better profitability.
