2017 Photo Contest

Prizes:
1. Ribbons: 1st place through 3rd place, People's Choice, Judge's Choice
2. People's Choice: to be chosen from all entries by ballot of guests at the 2017 Alpaca Ontario Show, April 29, 2017
3. Judge's Choice: to be selected by our judges from all entries.


Method of Judging:  Anonymous entries.  Judged in person, prior to Alpaca Ontario Show for all categories but People's Choice.  People's Choice to be judged by visitors to the Alpaca Ontario Show April 29, 2017.

Announcement of Winners:  All entries to be displayed, including ribbons and prize winners, at the Alpaca Ontario Show in April 29, 2017.  The People's Choice Winner will be selected after the show closes April 29, 2017 (based on ballot voting).

Pickup of Photos:  photos, ribbons and prizes can be picked up at the show, beginning at 4 p.m. on April 29, 2017.  If the exhibitor will not be attending the show, arrangements can be made for photos and any prizes/ribbons to be shipped to the exhibitor at the exhibitor's expense.

Rules:

  1. Entrants may submit up to 2 entries per class.
  2. Entrants may enter submissions into multiple classes.
  3. All photos must be taken in 2016 and must include alpacas in the frame.
  4. All photos must be submitted as either 8x10" prints or electronically as a jpeg file (3000 x 4000, at least 240 dpi, crop aspect 8 x 10") provided on a thumb drive, disc or via email (www.wetransfer.com suggested for high res files).  Digital enhancements permitted.
  5. By submitting an entry to the contest, the entrant is permitting Alpaca Ontario to utilize their photo submissions for promotional purposes.
  6. Any photos submitted with human subjects will be accompanied by a signed waiver by the person or parent/guardian appearing in the photos.
  7. All photos must be taken by the entrant, who has the sole rights to the photos.
  8. Entry fees must be paid by the Submission Deadline for entries to qualify.

Submission Deadline for all entries: all entries must be received by April 7, 2017
Entry Fees: $10/entry (cheques made payable to Alpaca Ontario)

Each Entry Must Include: record the following on the back of each photo
1. Entrant's name
2. Entrant's address
3. Entrant's farm name (if applicable)
4. Entrant's email & phone number
5. Category that the photo is being entered into.
