About Our Business:

"Where art meets alpacas" describes this art studio/alpaca farm! Kai-Liis McInnes is a professional artist working in watercolour and acrylic and also owns (and loves!) the Heed Farm Alpacas!
The first three alpacas arrived in 2006 - and the herd has grown! Each alpaca has a very definite personality - like a huge family - and happily gives up its luxurious fleece before the hot summer sets in. Watching them from the kitchen window always produces a smile, even on grey cloudy days.
Now the farm is home to 14 huacaya alpacas, 2 Icelandic horses, a mini donkey and 2 collies.
With all that wonderful alpaca fleece Kai-Liis spins, knits and weaves, often combining the alpaca fibre with wool or mohair. Hats, headbands and mittens are designed and knitted by Kai-Liis, usually handspun and inspired by designs from Fair Isle, Scandinavia and her native Estonia.
The farm is located in the beautiful Mulmur Hills, 1 hour north of the Toronto Airport, and 25 minutes north of Orangeville - near Airport Road and Highway 89.
Kai-Liis Art Studio and Heed Farm Alpacas welcomes visitors on the North of 89 Studio Tour and studio art shows - otherwise please phone or email to set up an appointment.
Hope to see you on the Farm!
