2007 Alpaca Ontario Online Stud Auction

Bidding Began: February 1, 2007 @ 8:00 pm
Bidding Closed: February 15, 2007@ 8:00 pm

WELCOME to A.O.'s second annual Gold Stud Online Auction. Listed below are the participating farms that have so generously donated a stud service this year. By doing so, they have made the spring Alpaca Ontario Show affordable for all who wish to attend. A special thanks to all farms that nominated a stud for our auction.

Bidding will go live on February 1st at promptly 8:00 p.m. and will close two weeks later on February 15th. It has been necessary to move the date forward a week (original date was February 7th) to accommodate our current software. In addition, the "Second Chance Auction" we had hoped to offer cannot be accomplished due to the same technical difficulties mentioned above.

As an alternative to conducting the "Second Chance Auction" online immediately after the initial auction, if you registered and were unsuccessful in your first bidding attempt, you may purchase your second choice by e-mail at a price of $750 if your e-mail for that particular herdsire was the first one received. All e-mail bids will begin on February 15th at 8:01 p.m. and close promptly at 9:00 p.m. Please send your bids to Glen Finbow.

It was brought to the attention of the Board of Directors that a thirty (30) day live birth guarantee and testing of the female to be bred and her cria is somewhat dictatorial on A.O.'s part. Therefore, it will be entirely up to each purchaser and donor to negotiate their terms prior to the auction's close. All breedings are to take place in 2007 unless negotiated otherwise between the purchaser and donor. All funds will be payable in full within fourteen (14) days after the auction's close to: Alpaca Ontario Inc.

Benefits if Your Herdsire is Purchased:
One-year A.O. free membership including web link;
Two complimentary tickets to the Saturday night banquet;
Advertising in the program, brochures, catalogue and website;
Picture of stud on a feature display wall;
Recognition and "thank you" at the banquet to all donors;
Gold stud listing on website for 2007/2008;
A.O.Newsletter thanking all farms/ranches;
Thank you mention in the Camelid Quarterly magazine;
Thank you letter from the President; and
Certificate of Appreciation for purchased studs.
Please note that only studs purchased will become a Gold Sponsor designated at this year's show held in Orangeville on April 13 to 15, 2007. The Board of Directors and the A.O. Show Committee thank all participants in advance for their kind donations in support of Alpaca Ontario Inc.

With kindest regards,
Glen Finbow
